American importer Dan Kravitz's home estate has turned out a nicely concentrated 2019 Cotes du Roussillon. A tank-aged blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Carignan and 20% Syrah, it offers up scents of black cherries, purple raspberries and hints of dried herbs on the nose, while the palate is medium to full-bodied, creamy and supple. Dusty and dry on the finish, it would be a fine counterpoint to burgers or steak in its youth.
