The NV Brut Tradition Grand Cru is creamy and so expressive. Dried pear, ginger, spice and dried flowers lend quite a bit of aromatic nuance to this Pinot-based NV Champagne. Time in the glass brings out the natural resonance of Ambonnay. This is such a pretty and inviting Champagne. The current release is based on 2014, with 40% reserve wines blended in. Dosage is 6 grams per liter. Disgorged January, 2021.

Disgorged in October 2020 with six grams per liter dosage, the latest rendition of Coutier's NV Brut Grand Cru Tradition is based on the 2013 vintage, complemented by fully 40% reserve wines. Exhibiting notions of waxy orchard fruit, honeycomb, mint, tangerine oil and fresh pastry, it's medium to full-bodied, bright and pillowy, with tangy acids and a fleshy core of fruit. Full of flavor and character, this is a fine effort.

Bright yellow with a strong bead. Sexy, strongly perfumed bouquet displays melon, white peach and strawberry, along with a sexy floral overtone. Sweet pear, strawberry and raspberry flavors are refreshingly juicy, with slow-building spices adding interest. Tightened up with air, but finishes with excellent clarity and a silky texture.
