The 2021 Volnay Village is a blend of their own grapes in Les Brouillards and purchased fruit. It has a well-defined bouquet with brambly red fruit and sous-bois, a light muscat scent in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with pretty red fruit, well balanced, easy going with a harmonious if simple, tart finish. Not bad, but a bit par for the course.
